7:06 am – Apple has introduced a new iPad Air, complete with a 13-inch model. Blue, purple, starlight and space grey colour finishes. The new Air is compatible with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Hover. Storage up to 1 TB. From 599 USD. Order today, available next week.
7:11 am – iPad Pro: impossibly thin. A new 11-inch (5.3 mm thick) and a new large 13-inch (5.1mm thick). This is the thinnest Apple product ever! Silver and space black finishes. This is the first OLED display on an iPad Pro with two layers, called Tandem OLED with 1600 nits peak HDR brightness. The display also has XDR precision and is called Ultra Retina XDR. Nano-texture glass will be available on the iPad Pro.
7:17 am – Apple has officially announced the M4 chip with a new display engine. 4x faster rendering performance than M2. A new AI-dedicated core with capabilities of 38 trillion operations per second.
7:23 am – Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro 2 has been announced. A new Live Multicam feature that allows for multiple cameras (up to 4) at once. A new Final Cut Camera app helps with this on the iPhone. New AI-powered instruments in Logic Pro. Apple introduces ChromaFlow.
7:29 am – A new AI-powered document scanner. New Apple Pencil charging method. The front camera is now on the landscape side.
7:30 am – A new redesigned Magic Keyboard with a function row and haptic feedback trackpad.
7:31 am – Apple Pencil Pro! Squeeze to bring up tools. Haptic engine, gyroscope for changing orientation of stroke. Now supports Find My and charges on the side of iPad Pro. New features in Procreate. According to the Verge this was already known. Pencil Pro works with the iPad Air as well. Just $129.
7:37 am – iPad 10 is now just $399. From Verge: “999 for the 11. 13 is 1199. Magic Keyboard is 299 for the 11, 329 for the 13. New pencil is 129. Order today, ships next week”
