
The results show that the Liberal Party, led by Mark Carney, won the election as a minority after a long struggle against the Conservative Party.
The votes was very close, especially around 10-11PM/22-23h in the night of April 28 2025, EST time.
Results were almost ties
Around 11 PM EST, the votes between the Liberal and Conservative parties were nearly tied. Alberta recorded the highest number of Conservative votes.
The final results were 165 seats for the Liberals and 147 for the Conservatives.
Due to the strong competition between the two leading parties, Mr. Sight, leader of the New Democratic Party, lost his own seat.

NDP’s leader resigns after the party select a replacement

After the leader of the New Democratic Party lost his seat, the party selected a replacement, leading to his resignation as party leader.
NDP leader, Mr. Sight has expressed his departure with emotions. “I couldn’t have done it without you”, said the NDP Leader.
The Conservative leader has no intention to resign.

Despite his loss in the election as leader of the opposition and of the second party to receive the most votes, he stated, It will be an honour to continue to fight for you and be a champion for your cause as we go forward”, said Pierre Poilievre
Poilievre will remain the leader of the party, and he lost his seat by failing to secure the majority vote in his riding.
The Bloc Québécois leader was re-elected, and the Green Party’s co-leader won her seat.
The Bloc Québécois leader was re-elected in his riding of Beloeil-Chambly. May, co-leader of the Green Party, was elected and won a seat. However, the leader Pedneault is defeated.

Liberal Party: 165 seats
Conservative Party: 146 seats
Bloc Québécois: 23 seats
NDP: 7 seats
Green Party: 1 seat
